SEA SIDE WINDOWS

SEA SIDE WINDOWS BEAUTIFUL AS PAINTINGS

On my last visit to a tiny fishing village at the coast I have seen these beautiful weathered, rusted, chipped, shattered, glass-broken, forgotten, unattended, old windows.

Their eyes have seen plenty of sun, wind, sand, waves, happiness, Christmas and Easter celebrations, joy, misery, fighting, love making, reconciliations, poverty and tenderness over the years.

At least that's how I imagine it. They have seen plenty inside and outside.

Made by hand decades ago and  handed over to the sea salt like a sacrifice they have sheltered eyes from the sun and wind, from cold and heat.
