Death Is A Silent Hunter
Death is a silent hunter
with no shame at all
and who was to witness him when he came in the brightest of light
just the oldest one of trees
just the oldest one of trees
And where there was great beauty once
there is now absolutely none !
And all their mighty
strong and sharp claws
could not help them at all
escape their grim fate

IN MEMORY OF THE TERRIBLE SEVEN
And now after I have told the story of the Spotted Genet and his dirty deeds in the forest......
I am going to upload some pictures of the Terrible Seven when they were still united.
Because a beautiful and naughty bunch they were - and three of them still are !
When I bought them they were thin and in some places bare off all feathers
But after good care and fine food.....
the possibility to take excessive dust baths
AND a gorgeous home in the wild they recovered. This old tree is part of their enclosure and the huge branches give them shade throughout the day.
and for all this I am getting plenty in return.

POM-POM and PING-PONG
PING -PONG
Ping Pong was originally sold and bought as a hen.
And one has to say to my justification that it took a while to find out that he was not a such.
because of his complete refusal to behave like a rooster.
She was baptized POM -POM because of her extravagant hairstyle that needs Salon equipment to stay in place.
Together they are simply called the Polish after their country of birth.

Chicken Pie and Kudu Biltong
A little shop and coffee place at the side of one of the endless long roads in South-Africa to rest your tired bones and get a good bite.
This one is between Graaff Reinet and Port Elizabeth. We were told famous for its chicken pies. But they were burned.
And further on on our way to the valley of desolation we saw a beautiful aloe. Standing strong and tall.
