A Special Prayer

A special prayer at a special place

While walking through the dunes, I came across a special prayer somebody had made before me.

Mystical Lavender

May be you will say to me one picture of the lavender is enough !

In that case, I will tell you: look away ! Cause I ain't gonna stop.

I had a strong vision of this lavender, that I have been trying to find!

My vision was to see and capture the inside, the essence of the lavender on film.
And I have taken pictures for weeks. 

To get what I want to see.

Until today when I received what I have been longing to have.

This is my fathers's lavender.
It reminds me of him.
 And I do love this lavender.

MADONNA DE LOURDES

This is my Madonna de Lourdes.

I have brought her from far to Africa.

She has no hands anymore

But this is how she watches over me.

Simply beautiful to look at. Each one a small miracle. Created during three hours while sitting next to a pool

                                  Showing the relative lightness of life and death............

in all it's colors and structures and forms

These photos are not only beautiful but also symbolic because there are times when things get easy in life and when one is able to float through moments that would have been difficult before 

simply feeling the flow and the lightness....

Connections are formed in these moments with greater powers and energies

but still not lasting forever.....

and when it's over and the weight can be felt again you wonder how you have done it

and are amazed........

But knowing, reassuringly, that you can do it again......

because you know now how it feels
