IMPRESSIONS FROM CINTSA EAST

I am showing you some impressions from a recent visit to Cintsa East

A small fishing and holiday village at the coast

very peaceful and quiet

with glossy starlings riding on telephone lines in the stormy wind

and bread delivery vans
FROM THE OVEN TO THE TABLE- so it is promised

Rustic and sandy boardwalks that lead right to the turquoise sea.

with places for loneliness and celebration

simply amazing light and small bays

and after all the most beloved beer in South Africa

SOUTHERN SIESTA

In the South, there are two things that you can do when the sun is really too bright.
Take a nap during the hot hours

Or dance - even if it is only your lunch break.

These two beautiful scenes were taken at Cintsa East- a lovely small fishing and holiday town in the Eastern Cape. Women working at a restaurant started to dance when I took some pictures of them while the guys who were fixing the close-by boardwalk leading down to the sea preferred to stay rather motionless and in the shade.
