My Companion
You might have noticed a slight change in scenery lately. After 5 years in Africa, without having been to the Old World, I spent a holiday of six weeks in Europe.
One week and one day for every year spent in the South.
This was my beloved companion. The 30 year old orange Peugeot bicycle of my mother. It was released from it's uncomfortable and dusty position under the garage roof, where it has been tied up for decades. My brother's friend Olli gave him tender love and care. Bless you Olli !
My companion was allowed to roam free again.
You could almost hear him sigh.
And believe me: to what places of wild and un-tamed beauty I was driven !
Into the woods and over the land.!
Where the trees are known to someone by their very own personal name

I Don't Want To Let You Go
I do not, no I really really do not want to let you go
I want you to be mine forever and ever.
But I know I have to.

Transparency
True transparency comes often with death like the leaves of this dying flower that lived only 2 days.

I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOUR SHADOW
When I looked your way the other day
I fell in love with your shadow
It is so delicate and fine
that it caused the strangest emotion in me
to make it mine and only mine
to make it mine and only mine
I am sorry and I know you will be so mad
But I have fallen in love with your shadow so deep
that I cannot look at your face.
that I cannot look at your face.

LIFE'S POETRY
Life is saying a poem in this picture.
The flower has come to a last rest on the fence in absolute elegance and grace.
Everything is soft and supple and flowing.
The petals look like as if they have transformed into a smooth slightly transparent, pink dyed cotton or linen - light as a feather.

I Love You Flowers
I was walking in a park.
When I saw three pink flowers to my left
I stood still to watch
Sunddenly they said to me: I love you Dear !
Loud and clear!
Then and there I understood, the world adores me,
the great world loves me back, like I love the world
Almost happy in my heart, I continued with my walk
AND GUESS WHAT?
The pink and whites ones were then saying it too
I love you ! I do !
And the red rainy, one as well
There and then I could not help it
and shouted back with all my heart: ME TOO, I LOVE YOU TOO

Two Queens And An Old Lion From Africa
Bird of paradise flower or Crane flower or STRELITZIA REGINA
I just call them queens of Africa.
The Strelitzia is a striking flower, somewhat bird-like in shape consisting of long green bracts with purple edges that surround orange flowers with bright-blue tongues.
They are evergreen and indigenous with tight clusters of fleshy stems bearing long, oblong, grey - green leaves.
They are Queens.
Broken Open.....
..
And the old lion in the bush.
Queens that can turn into old lions.
A life cycle.
