Is the layer between the universe(god) and you

And sometimes,

In a momemt or two,

but very seldom though

It(he)allows you to see through. 

Then you understand how holy each and every particle

of its entire creation is.

NEVER THE SAME

The view from my veranda over the valley and the little stream that flows through it is never the same.

The Cumulus clouds building themselves up form an amazing background for the black silhouette of the gum trees in the distance.

Quickly changing colors and clouds formations make this a special treat for the eyes that I have enjoyed many times with a cup of coffee or wine and my camera.

An African Thunderstorm preparing itself is like a mystical and sacred moment.

It cleanses not only the air and earth but the soul as well

APOCALYPTIC SHACK ON THE HILL

I came to understand after years of living in different countries that the world is a vast complex place of beauty and that the idea of an " International Style" is an outdated one.

The world has layers upon layers of style that are not regional but, rather, interwoven cultures, races, creeds and values. Being exposed to different cultures and value systems from an early age has helped me to see the world from an observant point of view.... like a spectator at first - then perceiving deeper, engaging and contributing. It's always possible to contribute.
The way and style in which African houses have been built, improvised and adapted to prevailing needs has been largely underestimated for years in the design world.
Although labeled shacks in my eyes they are pieces of art and testimony of an non-manicured and non-trained creativity.

They are built from scratch and know no limitations in their use of the type of materials that are used for their construction.

And they re-invent themselves everyday.

TABLE MOUNTAIN IN A GOOD MOOD

I am feeling lucky today to show you Table Mountain in a very good mood and in splendid colors.

It's not really often that you see theses colors.

One of the Container ships just leaving the bay.

And the most amazing table cloth of clouds preparing itself to cover Table Mountain.

Two kite surfers in the bay. The Wind was blowing like hell. Just perfect.

SPEED......................and the blue sea.

The colors in the bay can change within minutes. This photo was taken very early that morning. Later the sky became a deep blue.

And I do think that Cape Town is one of the nicest cities in the world to live.

Botticellis's Clouds

I was very lucky to be in  the right place at the right time to see the clouds of Botticelli's paintings.A couple of days ago I saw them right in front of my eyes on a stormy African afternoon. I am a lucky soul because I love Botticelli and I love clouds.

This was a sky like in a picture book with a renaissance flair to it. Beauty overload. 

This photograph is not digitally enhanced. The curve of clouds had exactly the same orange fiery red color as in the photo.

ABLAZE

A couple of days ago I had the chance to watch a dance of clouds and take some good shots.
A sky full ablaze with the power of the sun and amazing cloud formations.

Changing by the seconds

Until ........

The light got brighter and brighter

and my eyes were blinded and aching

And then there was this mystical painting above me.... AMAZING MOMENT
